Handmade. Traditional Maltese pastries enjoyed during the Easter season.  These are 2 layers of biscuit, sandwiched together with marzipan, and have been made for centuries in Malta, traditionally eaten on Easter Sunday.  They are given in place of Easter eggs. 

Decorated with Fondant, and REAL chocolate, not compound.  This is a couverture chocolat.
